| Name | Law Of The Ley Line |
| Number of rules | Six |
| Scope | Magic operating through the Ley Lines |
| Enforcement | Structural, not merely legal |
| Known exemption | Mage Of Time’s contract under Rule One |
Overview
The Law Of The Ley Line is the six-rule structure that ordinary Ley-Line magic cannot override. These are metaphysical constraints, not regulations a sufficiently reckless mage can ignore.
Cursed magic can bypass them because it does not draw its authority from the Ley Lines, but the bypass produces corruption rather than eliminating cost.
The Six Rules
| Rule | Principle |
|---|---|
| 1 — Time | Time cannot be reversed, rewritten or halted. |
| 2 — Soul | What has entered the cycle cannot be retrieved or changed above the law. |
| 3 — Purity | Pure and impure energy cannot coexist. |
| 4 — Genesis | Existence is transformed, never truly created or destroyed. |
| 5 — Commandment | The Ley Lines cannot be commanded. |
| 6 — Promise | A willing pact under Ley-Line authority must be upheld. |
