Overview
In the Magiverse, time is real but constructed from the collective memory of living and deceased beings. Memories returned to the Ley Lines maintain the record that gives causal history its continuity.
Ordinary Ley-Line magic cannot alter that record.
Metaphysics
Changing time means changing the memory structure that defines what happened. The Mage Of Time is the single authorised exception, and every temporal difference still requires a personal cost.
