Memory is both personal experience and a structural resource in the Magiverse. Souls carry memories through life; at death, the Ley Lines draw them into the collective record that sustains time.
Remembering is therefore emotionally, magically and cosmologically significant.
Personal And Collective Memory
Time Structure
The Cycle Of Souls separates memory from experience. Memories join the collective informational structure understood as Time; experiences refresh empty entropic mana vessels.
Alteration And Erasure
Changing the collective record is temporal alteration and is prohibited except through the Mage Of Time contract. Mia’s disappearance from ordinary family memory is a major unresolved effect: its cause and exact selection rules remain TBC.
Copies And Identity
Soul-information techniques can copy memories without preserving the original person. Black’s acquisition of Archie’s memories and Neo’s later theft of Black’s information do not create resident surviving identities.
History And Development
Memory is part of the natural soul cycle and becomes a central investigative medium through Mia, the Nexus and the Book Of Memories.
Role And Significance
Memory lets private grief and cosmic law operate through the same substance. Losing, copying or altering a memory therefore changes both relationship and reality without making them identical.
