The Wurzelheim Incident begins when Lilia and Tony return covertly to her exiled home during the final stage of their artefact hunt.
An attack on the hidden borough turns the retrieval into the first large-scale crisis of Treasures Of Old.
Sequence
Lilia and Tony leave Mai with Mark in the Archive and enter Wurzelheim. They reclaim the Staff, but Tower decomposes the Domain and overwhelms Lilia.
Tower takes Tony and demands Mark. Lilia opens the Key and attempts to save both. Tower secures Mark, breaks the exchange and begins rotting Tony.
Blight manifests in the mindscape, destroys Tower and takes the body. He orders residents to kneel and severs those above a chosen height. Lilia and Mai cannot stop him; the Mirror Of Deflection lets Lilia survive long enough to argue for Tony.
Archie arrives, spatially incapacitates Blight and reverses Tony’s body to the pre-possession state. He reconstructs the borough but cannot restore souls already lost. The aftermath leads the group toward Arcaneum and Tony’s later trial.

Occurs near the end of WOC1 in 2025.
Role And Significance
The incident converts every earlier plot layer—exile, artefacts, Mark, Tower and Tony’s pact—into one catastrophe and demonstrates that even perfect physical repair does not undo death.
