Overview
The Magiverse is the shared world of The Witch Of Chronicles and its companion series. Modern daily life coexists with a concealed magical society whose institutions, creatures and conflicts are organised around the planetary Ley Lines.
Magic is not an unlimited exception to nature. It is an ecological conversion system with waste, laws and consequences.
World Structure
The world is broadly divided between mages, whose souls contain a functional Gate, and plebeians, who ordinarily lack both Magic Perception and Magic Operation. The distinction is hidden from most of ordinary society rather than separated into another planet.
Arcaneum is the central educational institution. Hidden communities such as Wurzelheim, magical ruins, Vetus Domains and organisations including the Order Of The Cycle extend that society beyond the school.
