Selene Vetus, the Harbinger Of The Moon, is an ostensibly neutral information broker who appears around the margins of the WOC story. Loud, expressive and visibly pastel, she attracts suspicion without openly joining the major Harbinger battles.
Selene is a descendant and vessel of Vincent Vetus through Soul Transmission. She receives future information from a devastated Lilia Eberhardt after Mia Thorne’s death and uses that knowledge from the background. She later becomes the mother of Neo Vetus, the next vessel in Vincent’s succession.
Plot
Mia And Lilia
Selene appears among the people connected to Mia, introduces herself to Lilia and later visits the Chrysalis Bookstore looking for The Myth Of Sisyphus on Mia’s recommendation. Her odd knowledge and magically blank presentation leave Lilia uneasy.
During the Nexus Event, future Lilia travels to Mia’s final night and confronts her. After Mia dies, Selene finds the distraught visitor. Believing Selene to be merely another girl from Mia’s life, Lilia explains the future in an attempt to make sense of her grief. The account gives the Moon the information needed to steer events from the background; Lilia never discovers the full consequence.
The Vetus Vessel
Selene’s mind and history are entangled with Vincent Vetus, creator of Soul Transmission. The active intelligence behind the long plan is Vincent, but Selene remains the named body and social identity through which the Moon operates. The exact boundary between host and inhabitant is TBC.
Selene later has a son, Neo. She dies before 2045, allowing Vincent’s transmission to continue into him.
Role
Thematic Function
Selene makes foreknowledge feel like conspiracy rather than certainty. She is present at crucial junctions but rarely owns the visible event, allowing the same scenes to gain new meaning when the Vetus succession is revealed. Her relationship to Vincent also raises a deliberately unresolved question: how much of “Selene” survives inside the role assigned to her body?
Powerset
The Moon has no Cursed Expression. Selene’s operational strength is information, access and the ability to remain noncommittal between factions. Vincent’s presence grants the continuity of Soul Transmission, but specific spellcasting ability should not be assumed: the planning material describes Selene as unable to use magic while possessing a mind comparable to Vetus.

Loud, theatrical, curious and disarming; capable of becoming unexpectedly calm when Lilia is grieving. Her neutrality is performative enough that every helpful act remains suspicious.
