Overview
A magical artefact is an object designed or infused to perform, store, focus or regulate magic. Artefacts can let a non-caster act on magic, correct a mage’s weakness or preserve a specialised function across centuries.
The Magiverse uses British artefact spelling in wiki titles; older sources may use artifact.
Classification And Durability
Artefacts use the one-to-five-star Rarity System. A Catalyst is the subclass that augments or stabilises Magic Operation.
Legendary/5★ artefacts are normally indestructible. They can be broken by an artefact of equal or greater power or by output from a 5★ mage that exceeds the object’s defensive threshold.
