The Knight Of Spirits is a companion story centred on Ken Kaedehara, a young man who enters mage society after an uncontrollable magical affliction. The Spirit Bangle introduces him to Asta and an unconventional route into magical combat.
It expands Arcaneum and spirit lore without becoming required reading for the main trilogy.
Series Role
The confirmed KOS story follows Ken’s 2022 arrival at Arcaneum, the revelation that his mother Aika is alive and the development of a consensual partnership with Asta.
It also introduces the Hermit infiltration that foreshadows Operation Zero and begins Ken and Mai’s relationship before they become central WOC allies.
