About
| Field | Information |
|---|---|
| Name | Severance |
| User | Benedict Blight |
| Classification | Refined Cursed Expression |
| Function | Imposes separation on matter, magic and relationships |
| Development | Refined during Ley-Line limbo |
Severance is Blight’s defining cursed Expression. Rather than producing an ordinary blade, it imposes separation and manifests the result as a cut.
Operation
Blight refines Severance while conscious in Ley-Line limbo. In Wurzelheim he uses aerial cuts to sever anyone above a chosen height and overwhelms defenders who cannot counter direct division.
Lilia can survive by using the Mirror Of Deflection mounted in the Staff Of Vetus. The Expression’s exact interaction with souls, Domains and other conceptual targets remains bounded by scenes rather than a complete universal statement.
History And Development
Developed from Blight’s cursed research and perfected between the founder era and 2025.
Role And Significance
Severance is Mending’s philosophical inversion: the healer who once restored any wound now defines freedom as the right to cut every binding relationship.
