The End is the first-ranked Harbinger and the figure who opens WOC1’s conspiracy by directing the Order Of The Cycle toward the return of Falkenrath Black. His Cursed Expression, Curse - Finality, forces active processes to reach an imposed conclusion.

During Operation Zero he supplies the entropy field that doubles the rate at which Archie’s temporal defences consume his lifespan, making him central to the plan that defeats the strongest mage without overpowering him.

Plot

End leads the nine visible figures at the opening Harbinger meeting and directs the search for Black’s vessel. He is aligned with the faction that actively wants the Lord Of Souls restored.

In Operation Zero, End’s role is not to defeat Archie in a direct contest. His entropic field increases the cost of every temporal activation, causing the Dilated Barrier and other techniques to spend Archie’s remaining life at an accelerated rate. Combined with hostages, the destruction of the Dilator, loss of sight and the pact with Black, this produces the forced suicide at the operation’s centre.

End remains part of the Third Great Wizarding War trajectory, but his ultimate fate is not yet fixed.

Role

Thematic Function

End translates the Harbingers’ theme into administration: processes, stories and lives become things that can be formally closed. Against Archie, his power turns time’s cost into a weapon rather than trying to contest space-time directly.

Powerset

Curse - Finality has three established levels:

Cessation: declares an active process finished, such as ending a spell’s duration and returning it to waste.
Erasure: ends a chosen variable such as friction or sound inside a local field.
Epilogue: places a “full stop” on Ley-Line activity in a ten-metre radius, preventing mana draw and soul processing while reality enters absolute stasis.
