The Third Great Wizarding War is the principal conflict of Age Of Rebirth. It forces the younger cast to operate after the institutions and protections they once relied on have failed.

Conflict And Resistance

Black’s Return

Operation Zero gives Black Archie’s copied spatial knowledge and removes Arcaneum’s leadership. The resulting war is not a repetition of 1902: the protagonists understand the Harbinger infrastructure but have lost the person who could end most battles alone.

Resistance

The Greenwich Observatory Resistance coordinates surviving teachers, students and allies. Ken returns from his travels as a transformed front-line fighter. Lilia carries the knowledge and artefacts required for the final strategy. Mai’s planned turn toward and away from Black remains one of the unresolved pieces of WOC3.

Archive Sealing

In the confirmed final-battle sequence, Lilia moves the Key’s active doorframe as a portal and forces Black and Blight—controlling Tony’s body—into the Archive. She closes the frame and destroys the Key with maximum Staff output. The Archive and prisoners continue to exist.

The exact fate of End, the precise route of Mai’s return and several battle match-ups remain TBC.

History And Development

Begins after the 2026 Operation Zero catastrophe and reaches the Archive sealing in 2027.

Role And Significance

The Third War forces the younger cast to inherit a world whose adults preserved power without resolving the structures that kept producing war.
