The Nexus Event is a fixed causal junction connected to the trilogy’s opening death investigation. Its past and future causes cannot be separated cleanly.
Names, choices, outcomes and the full loop are intentionally absent from this mirror because they reveal the trilogy’s central answer.
Causal Sequence
Mia is engineered and raised by the Harbingers as the most compatible vessel for Black. She learns that survival would eventually allow him to claim her and that a specific future sequence is required for his defeat.
Future Lilia returns to the night of Mia’s death and fights her closest friend in an attempt to change the outcome. Lilia is knocked unconscious. Mia then takes her own life, ensuring past Lilia reads suicide while Tony’s evidence makes him suspect murder.
Afterward Selene appears. Future Lilia, devastated and unaware of the Moon’s true identity, explains the future to her. Selene receives the information required to steer events from the background.
The event helps cause the investigation, temporal journey and conspiracy knowledge that return to it.

Occurs at the 2024 death point and is revisited during the later Nexus Arc.
Role And Significance
The Nexus makes Mia’s sacrifice an act of agency inside a system that raised her as livestock, while refusing to make the choice emotionally simple or free from manipulation.
