About
| Field | Information |
|---|---|
| Name | Curse - Purgatory |
| User | The Hanged Man |
| Layers | Suspension / Inverted Horizon / Infinite Loop |
| Concept | Confinement through stasis, disorientation and repetition |
| Time-law status | Infinite Loop is neurological, not temporal |
Curse: Purgatory traps targets through suspended motion, inverted orientation and forced repetition.
Three Layers
Suspension
An object or person hangs in mid-air, loses momentum and retains potential energy until released.
Inverted Horizon
The target’s internal gravity flips. The sensory conflict makes Ancient Magic visualisation especially difficult.
The Infinite Loop
The target repeats the last three seconds of movement and mana shaping. The effect is a cursed neurological replay inspired by Mia’s “universal brick wall,” not a violation of the Law of Time.
History And Development
Used by the modern Hanged Man.
Role And Significance
Purgatory produces the experience of being trapped outside progress without requiring literal time travel.
