Meredith is the head of Breach Inc., the mother of Elisabeth “Lisa” and a principal human architect of Project Astaroth’s 1892 catastrophe. She murders her daughter while using her as leverage against Astaroth.
Astaroth retaliates immediately and annihilates Meredith. The sparse current canon fixes the act and consequence but not a complete biography.
Plot
Meredith leads Breach Inc. and arranges plebeian bodyguards around her daughter Lisa while Project Astaroth’s factions compete for control. The protection is also a means of using Lisa to lead Archie, Black and the institutions back to Asta.
In 1892 Meredith uses her own daughter as leverage, threatening Asta with Lisa’s suffering unless the spirit complies. When Asta hesitates, Meredith kills Lisa. The artificial spirit responds by annihilating Meredith.
The murder becomes one of the decisive events behind Black’s break with Archie and the later Second Great Wizarding War.
