The Witch Of Chronicles: Treasures Of Old begins when Tony Thompson reaches an ancient Domain in Thailand while investigating the death of his stepsister. He needs magic to enter and instead finds Lilia Eberhardt, an exiled witch grieving the same woman.
Their uneasy partnership becomes an artefact hunt through memory, truth and a hidden magical conflict.
Story Structure
Opening And Partnership
The Order Of The Cycle identifies a vessel and deploys Tower. Tony separately hears Blight as “Bright” inside a mindscape. At Ayutthaya, Tony and Lilia combine his reasoning with her magic to recover the Book Of Memories. Their recollections reveal that Tony’s dead stepsister is Lilia’s closest friend Mia.
Investigation
Mia has been erased from ordinary memory. Magical residue and Tony’s recollection point toward a Harbinger. In Argentina, Lilia and Tony encounter Mai; the rival witches fight to a draw and cooperate. The Map sends them toward a Greenwich cemetery, where they capture Mark Nottingham.
Wurzelheim
Mark names Tower as his only friend. Lilia and Tony return covertly to Wurzelheim for the Staff while Mai watches Mark in the Archive. Tower attacks, demands Mark and attempts to rot Tony. Blight kills Tower, possesses Tony and massacres residents.
Archie arrives, suppresses Blight, reverses Tony’s body and restores the borough’s physical state without reviving the dead. He invites the group to Arcaneum, carrying the mystery into Book 2.

Set primarily in 2025 with flashbacks to Lilia and Mia’s relationship from 2023–2024.
Role And Significance
WOC1 introduces magic as investigation: every artefact answers one question and exposes a larger hidden system rather than ending the mystery.
