The Requirement Series is a family of Vetus artefacts built around adaptive storage, space and need. Confirmed members are the Key, Baldric and Pouch Of Requirement.
Their shared principle is not unlimited wish fulfilment; each item applies “requirement” within a defined practical domain.
Known Series
The Requirement items convert Vetus’s Domain engineering into portable access systems. The sentient Key provides entry to an adaptive subspace and gradually trusts its Administrator enough to let the Administrator’s subconscious shape that space into Lilia’s Archive. The Baldric supplies appropriate stored weaponry. The Pouch maintains habitat for Miranda’s mabeast roster.
The Key is destroyed or divided during the final WOC conflict according to the confirmed sequence, leaving fragments that drive AOC1. Its subspace can trap V’s younger sister, demonstrating that adaptive space is not automatically safe or obedient.

Created by Vincent Vetus; redistributed across later owners and central to the 2020, WOC and 2045 timelines.
Role And Significance
The series makes “what is needed” a design constraint rather than a vague magical answer. Each artefact embodies preparation, stewardship and the risk of storing too much behind one access point.
