About
| Field | Information |
|---|---|
| Name | Primordium |
| Category | Magical activation language |
| Primary use | Modern Magic incantations |
| Requirement | Spoken word plus intent |
Primordium is the language used to activate Modern Magic frameworks. A word alone is insufficient: it must be spoken with the intent associated with the fixed magical effect.
Function
Primordium binds a spoken activation to the established construction of a Modern spell. The language is an aid and interface, not an independent source of power. Mana still comes through the Gate and intent still determines whether the invocation is genuine.
The current canon does not supply a complete lexicon or grammar. Individual spell words should not be fabricated to fill that gap.
History And Development
Primordium becomes central to the Modern framework developed by a predecessor of the Mage Of Time.
Role And Significance
The language makes magical knowledge reproducible across teachers and students while preserving the role of intent.
