Ivory Mason is a so called "Homonculus", an artificially created human with the sole purpose to become a deity. She was modelled after the Mother Witch and was created by Ophiuchus.
Plot
Title 1
Ivory Mason, before joining the Academy, is a regular soon-to-be 18 year old girl living with her mother and father as a single child in London, England. She lives as quite the reserved and unassuming girl, as she's had so-called "Helicopter Parents", who restrain her too much in Ivory's opinion. On the Night before her 18th birthday, she organises a sleep over party behind her parents' back at her best friend Hailey's place, where she meets Noelle Nightingale, a mysterious girl who has taken interest in Ivory. The next day, when returning home, she knocks at her door to find her mother unable to recognise her. When then a mage appears and hunts her down, Noelle appears, saving her and throwing Ivory head first into the world of magic. She heads to MASA, The Magic Society Administration, where she meets Alonso Morris, the one referred to as The Master Mage, who explains to Ivory that she needs to readjust to a life of magic and thus is slated to visit the Magus Academia. She is sent to the Camden Secret Alley, where she gets her equipment for school and meets Quinn Robinson, who becomes a good friend to Ivory.
Entering The Magus Academia
Ivory, arriving at the Magus Academia, meets with Quinn, a friend she made at Camden Secret Alley. After a brief conversation, they encounter a silent and reserved boy, that introduces himself as Ezra Gomez. Through the preliminary introductions they find out that he is classified as a special mage, just like Ivory. Ezra does not use any of the conventional archives, instead using a unique archive specific to him he calls "The Magician's Archive". Other prominent figures are introduced, such as the Nightingale Trio. Consisting of the first-year twins Neo, also called "the fastest mage" and Mila, also called "the darkness prodigy". They also have an elder sister, Noelle, whom Ivory already met. The latter took on a supervising role for Ivory, as she requires special attention from the school. Ivory, Quinn and Ezra all three join the Silver Owls, one of the four possible housing factions within the Academia.
The Ebony Witch
Having settled into every day school life at the Magus Academia, Ivory is quickly establishing herself as a prodigy. Magic seems to come very easily to her and she even outshines certain mages who are known to be the best in their fields. One such character is Neo Nightingale, the son of a prestigious family and also Noelle's younger brother. Neo, who prided himself as the fastest mage as a warrior mage with his special lightning archive technique, takes it as a personal attack and dislikes Ivory, fuelling a rivalry between them. Quinn is revealed to have an alter ego in form of her dead sister Myra, possessing her and occasionally taking over Quinn's body to get the group out of a pinch, as Myra is shown to be an extremely powerful wielder of the Ice Archive. Ezra, the lighthearted shy nerd is shown to have a dark side. Meanwhile, whilst learning all about legends like the Cold Massacre, Mother and the Witches Of Sin, a rumor about the latter faction goes around. Apparently, the Witch Of Envy is haunting the school halls for an unknown reason and any student that comes across her gets their magic stolen. When Ivory finally crosses paths with her, she realises that there is much more behind this rumor than meets the eye. Revealed to be Noelle Nightingale, also known as the Ebony Witch, Ivory puts a stop to the Witches' plan and restores the magic to the school.
The Witches Of Sin
After defeating the Ebony Witch, strange things started happening to Ivory; She was awarded a title by the system, a special one in fact. Associated with a group of special titles, dubbed the "Hexentitel", she gained the title "Witch Of Pride". The title gives her unique privileges within the confines of the system. It also identifies and associates her with the Witches Of Sin. Not thinking much about it, she suddenly gets pulled into an unknown place, outside the borders of space and time. On a lush sunny field, with an elongated table and chairs around it, there are six women seated around it, one of them being Noelle, occupying the seat of Envy. On the table there was an old english tea set. The Witches explain, that she is now part of the Witches Of Sin and forcefully needs to participate in the so-called "Teaparty". Using this new network of valuable information to her advantage, she uses it to uncover the secrets of the school and the system, revealing a plot for power from a person least expected, Principal Cornelius Clawthorne. Successfully opposing Clawthorne's plan with the help of the Witch Of Greed by striking a deal with her, the tables turn when its time for the Witch Of Greed to cash in on her favor; In the blink of an eye, she murders every single witch of sin and the principal, leaving only Ivory and Ebony to stand. Revealing herself to be Ophiuchus, ranked second amongst the dangerous and influential Asura Enforcers and also one of the founders of mage society, she battles Ivory for an unclear reason. In this battle, where Ivory had to give everything like she hasn't before, she finally bested Ophiuchus, killing her in the process. But as soon as the fight was over, an interesting phenomena happened; Ivory reached a so-called "Mortal Barrier" and broke it, ascending her being to the one of a deities, undergoing deification. Ivory Mason is now a god.
The Vanguard: Opening Game
As a deified being, she should be a lot stronger than she was previously. That is what Ivory thought, but whilst on paper that statement is true by a large margin, it is more complicated than it seems. Practically speaking, Ivory is now weaker than ever, as she is not linked to the system anymore and thus can't cast magic. The only way for her to manipulate Soul Power now is to conjure, a process used by deities to shape reality to their will. As this is an immensely complicated process and most gods are born and not made, she needs time to figure it out. Until then, she is utterly powerless, which is why it is the absolute worst time for her when an organisation called NEX reaches out to her, requesting her help with a mission. Ivory, against her will, joins the mission. As NEX laid it out, two organisations called The Chaos Paradigm and the Asura want to both achieve the same goal of reviving an ancient titan, which would have devastating consequences on the world. Though, the two organisations do not seem to be working together. NEX put together a team of six super-powered individuals to stop the incoming threat, with an additional member sneaking into the mix behind their backs. Ivory's role is to be the strong offence and defence. Within this team, dubbed "The Vanguard", she is supposed to support everyone with magic and deliver devastating blows of her own. Issue is, she is almost entirely useless during most of the events of Opening Game. It is through the team work with the rest of the Vanguard, that she slowly gains a grip over her powers. By the end of Opening Game, although the group failed to stop the revival of Chaos, the Asura are revealed to be neither ally nor enemy but a force resisting the will of entropy.
Mother's Wish
Professor Nimda
After the events of Opening Game, Ivory now has a firm grip on her powers. A bit belated, due to the events of opening game and the incident with the principal and the witches of sin, the third year at the Magus Academy starts. Ivory, Quinn and Ezra find themselves at the opening ceremony, when an announcement about a new head of school is made. But a reveal so surprising, that all eyes would be on Ivory, was not on her bingo card. The new principal looks almost exactly like Ivory, except she clearly looks older and still has black hair. Introducing herself as Professor Nimda, she quickly shows her method of rule by establishing hard rules and strict punishments. The students' sentiment regarding the new principal are mixed to varying degrees, some calling it a good change contrasting Clawthorne's more laid back rule and other feeling oppressed. Meaenwhile, Ivory and the group try figuring out a way to deactivate the magic system after the revelation of the Opening Game. Their pursuit seems connected to Nimda and they come to the conclusion that the relation between her and Nimda can't be a coincidence. Whilst investigating this, they come across many overlaps with one notable figure in mage history; The Mother Witch.
The Core
After months of relentless pursuit and research, Ivory and her friends figure out where the core of the entire magic system resides, which turned out to be the grave where Mother was buried. Together with Myra, they make a plan to defeat the core, which regulates the entire magic system and replace it with Myra's consciousness. Myra initially was against it, as she doesn't want to endanger her sister Quinn but after some convincing and a promise from Ivory to keep Quinn safe at all costs, she finally agreed. They arrive at the grave and manage to uncover a secret ruin beneath it. After entering it and facing various challenges they reach the mainframe room; This is where the core resides and where surprisingly, Nimda's body was stored in cryostasis. The core revealed itself to be Nimda, who occupied the body to keep a firmer grip on mage society. The body itself turned out to be the frozen remains of Mother, modified to keep it from decaying. A battle ensues where the team of Ivory, Quinn, Ezra, Noelle and Neo fight at their best, giving their all. As the entity regulating the system supported magic, the others could not fight back as effectively as ivory could, now that she was unshackled of the systems benefits but also its restrictions. In the end they manage to defeat the core, replacing it with a forbidden item called a "Soul Trap", housing Myra's soul. The core, now just a figure in the form of a chess piece, was in the possession of Ivory. But this didn't work without its sacrifices; In the process of exchanging the piece for the soul trap, Quinn loses her life. Shortly after, Myra awakens, now within and as the system itself. Seeing the dead, lifeless body of her sister, her demeanor entirely changed. Myra took over Mother's body and dressed herself in an ice blue dress, changing the color of her hair to pale blonde. She revealed that the only thing holding her back from her initial plan was Quinn. But now that Quinn is gone, she may reveal her true intentions and with it, her true identity. Myra Robinson, the greatest prodigy of a mage ever before Ivory, turns out to be the Ice Queen.
The Ice Queen
Myra takes over the entire system and has one and only plan; Sap away enough SP for herself to reach the Divinity Threshold and become a deity herself, to use that power to decimate the world. The only person with even remotely enough force to stop her is Ivory, who is initially hesitant to go up against Myra, whom Ivory built up quite the bond with. The Chess Piece, which was in Ivory's possession started talking to communicate with Ivory as Nimda, who was still conscious inside. Realizing that there is no other way, Ivory puts her feelings aside and steps up to engage in a battle of power, a battle of control. But to Ivory's dismay, this was Myra's plan. Her target was Ivory, who had the highest SP and with it was the most surefire way to reach the divinity threshold. The battle ends very dangerously for Ivory, with Myra besting her and sucking the SP out of Ivory. Hitting zero is the only surefire way to kill Ivory and to make Myra the Divinity she wanted to be. But in the very last moment, a mysterious figure comes in, separating the two and immediately disappearing with the Ice Queen and the Queen Piece.

Role
Ivory is part of the Vanguard, also referred to as the Hero Faction and a so-called "Piece" which is a term used by the Asura for crucial figures in their plan. She symbolizes the Queen Piece.
The queen is also one of the crucial but also the most powerful piece on the board. As such, Ivory perfectly symbolizes it. With her rise to godhood and her status as the most powerful character amongst our lead protagonist characters, she offers powerful offense and defense amongst the crew.
Powerset
Before Deification:
Ivory, at the beginning of the story, quickly found out that her ability to interact with magic is different and much more advanced than any other mage. Whilst other mages have access to only two out of all the available magical archives, Ivory is the only mage in recorded history to ever be able to access and wield all archives, besides Mother, who is the founder of mage society. Ivory does eventually develop a strong favoritism towards the spatial archive, though her use of magic isn't limited to it. Her magic style involves lots of teleportation and spatial movement enhancement.
After Deification:
At the end of the second instalment, Ivory manages to break the "mortal barrier" and become a deity. She now plays under the ruleset of deities or so called "Divinities". With all the conditions and benefits she receives as a deity, Ivory is now also unshackled from the Wisdom System. This gives her now the ability of conjuring like any other god, but has to first learn how to do it. Without the access to the system she can't properly use magic. After a long time relearning magic the different way, she becomes one of the most powerful figures in the overarching plot, being the strongest piece.
