Dragon Metamorphosis is the best-defined mabeast development line. A Wyrm becomes a Drake and ultimately a Dragon, gaining intelligence, language and resistance at each stage.

The mature Dragon can be harmed only through physical means because magical effects no longer affect it.

Stages

StageFormMagic resistanceCognitive development
E1Wyrm33%Roughly toddler-level intelligence; no speech.
E2Drake66%Roughly equivalent to a six-to-eight-year-old child; no speech.
E3DragonComplete immunityHuman-level thought and spoken language. Only physical means can harm it.

White’s arc uses this progression. “Light Dragon” appears as a descriptive older link or form reference, not a separate species page in current canon.

History And Development

The developmental model is established through magical-zoology canon and White’s confirmed progression from E1 in 2025 to E3 during Operation Zero in 2026.

Role And Significance

The line makes maturation intellectual and relational as well as combative. Complete magical immunity changes how a mature dragon can be threatened without making it physically invulnerable.
