About
| Field | Information |
|---|---|
| Name | Curse - Spirit |
| User | Aika Kaedehara / the Hermit |
| Function | Forces contracts with spirits of equal or lower rank |
| Concept | Coercive spirit authority |
Curse: Spirit allows the Hermit to force contracts on spirits at or below the user’s rank. It is the coercive opposite of a voluntary spirit partnership.
Operation
Aika uses Spirit as the Harbinger Of The Hermit. The technique is directly relevant to Asta, whose artificial nature and exceptional potential complicate normal spirit classification.
Because cursed magic is independent of the Ley Lines, the forced contract does not contradict Rule Six’s requirement of willingness; it bypasses that system instead. Exact rank comparison and the contract’s break conditions remain TBC.
History And Development
Used by Aika through the 2022 Hermit crisis.
Role And Significance
The curse makes the ethical difference between partnership and control visible in the same mechanical vocabulary of “contract.”
