V is the fourteen-year-old protagonist of The Apprentice Of Chronicles, beginning with The Apprentice Of Chronicles: Writings Of Fate. Born in 2031, V supports an unnamed younger sister and becomes involved in the hunt for fragments of the Key Of Requirement.

When the sister is trapped in the Key’s subspace, V bargains with a reclusive Lilia Eberhardt. Their shared need to reopen The Archive creates an apprenticeship neither enters for purely academic reasons.

Plot

Provider And Key Thief

V grows up under financial pressure and takes responsibility for a younger sister. That need leads to theft and eventually to pieces of the shattered Key Of Requirement. The fragments are not merely valuable objects: together they are the means of reopening the Archive.

The Sister In Subspace

V’s sister becomes trapped in the adaptive subspace associated with the Key. Rescuing her requires knowledge and power beyond V’s reach. The crisis leads V to Lilia, now a reclusive and extraordinarily knowledgeable witch.

Apprenticeship

Lilia wants the Key restored because the Archive contains the history—and people—she has avoided confronting since 2027. V accepts apprenticeship as part of the bargain to recover the fragments and reach the trapped sister. During the search, V learns that the mentor is the legendary Witch Of Chronicles.

Neo And The Archive

V’s closest peer is Neo Vetus, a friend and rival whose connection to Vincent Vetus makes the Archive’s reopening far more dangerous. In 2045, the restored path brings Lilia, V, Blight, Black and Neo into the same crisis.

V reopens a world the previous generation tried to seal. As Lilia’s apprentice, V provides the next-generation perspective on legends that have hardened into grief, institutions and half-truths. The need to protect a sibling also makes the Archive quest immediate rather than merely archaeological.
